Arcana Girls: Brilliant Sonata

She slips out of class early and follows the overpass to a soggy riverbank. With a touch of her hand, she reveals a glyph and steps through it into an endless maze of fish tank corridors. In this labyrinth she’s hunting a Witch, a dangerous creature who feeds on human despair. But she isn’t helpless. Equipped with her Tool, donning her Vesture, and with powerful Motifs at her disposal, she dispatches Witches in style. She is elegant. She is hard-working. She is alone.

         She is a Magical Girl. 

ARCANA GIRLS: Brilliant Sonata is a Tabletop Roleplaying Game. Play as a Magician, explore Labyrinths, and protect your friends from vicious Witches. Taking inspiration from Puella Magi Madoka Magica, this game adds some darker twists to the magical girl formula. However, this game is completely friendly to more light-hearted game play. I really hope you'll enjoy playing ARCANA GIRLS with your friends.

This game is a work-in-progress. I'm working to make it more accessible, add vibrant art and supplemental documents, and to make the formatting more attractive.

Update: Arcana Girls v2 is now live! Some changes have been made to balance gameplay better, and two sections have been added: Witch's Eggs, and Resources. Enjoy!

Update: I'm publishing v2.5 for a campaign I'm running. Some character creation guidelines and advancements have been slightly tweaked in response to a currently ongoing playtest. Some language has been updated to read more clearly, particularly the section titled Witch's Eggs.
